A Tribute to Debbie Reynolds
A love letter to the perky, energetic, and most of all talented Ms. Reynolds, who continues to entertain us both on stage and with her wonderful collection of film memorabilia. A Tribute to Debbie Reynolds

Elizabeth Taylor Dead at 79
She was a movie star in every sense of the word. She left us just after her 79th birthday celebrated last month. There was only one "Liz," and we will miss her!
A Tribute to Elizabeth Taylor

A Tribute to Gloria Swanson
She was once the highest-paid and most popular actress in America, but today she is remembered primarily for playing a character much like herself, in one of the most popular movies of all time. A Tribute to Gloria Swanson

A Tribute to Joan Crawford
Though modern audiences may know her mostly from her later, more unsympathetic roles, Joan Crawford was at one time the leading actress in Hollywood, and was voted #10 on the AFI list of all-time favorite actresses. A Tribute to Joan Crawford

A Tribute to Jerry Lewis
Looking back on the career of a comic genius, who made people laugh all over the world, made them cry every Labor Day, won every award except an Oscar, and stirred up plenty of controversy while doing all of it.
A Tribute to Jerry Lewis.

A Tribute to John Garfield
If there was ever an actor who has not received his fair share of attention from latter-day movie audiences, it's John Garfield, who died too young and never got the recognition he deserved.
A Tribute to John Garfield

A Tribute to Jean Harlow
The original Blonde Bombshell died tragically at the age of 26, after only a decade of movie appearances, leaving her fans wanting more. Here's as much as there is.

For My Classic Movies Friends - New Products From The Soil Sifter

View as Web Page Send to a Friend

The Soil Sifter Spring Bulletin

New Soil Sifter Models For Your Spring Gardening!

I'm Brad Lang, and I run the Classic Movies.org Web site.  You are receiving this one-time mailing because this is my "other" business, and I thought you'd like to see what I'm doing when I'm not writing about old movies!  My online store is called The Soil Sifter. I make the products myself, in my home workshop, and ship them all over the United States. (So far we don't ship outside the lower 48, but if you have a need, please ask and I might try it!)

There are eight different versions of the product, for use in gardening or other pursuits (like treasure hunting or archeology) where careful sifting of sand, dirt or other organic material is called for. The original Soil Sifter (shown above) fits on a standard wheelbarrow, and was developed by me when I found a need for it during my home gardening. Learn more at http://www.thesoilsifter.com.

The newest version is called the Super Mini (shown at left), designed to be used by hand in a smaller area of your garden, or for those who have other sand or soil sifting needs and want something lightweight and less expensive (only $18.95 plus shipping). It measures approximately 11" x 22" and has a pair of handles to allow it to be shaken to separate the soil from rocks, twigs, etc.

This winter we also developed a Soil Sifter designed to fit on top of a standard 18-gallon Rubbermaid "Roughneck" bin for use in smaller sifting jobs where it's helpful to be able to dump the debris more easily and to have the dirt stored in a container.  It can also be adapted for use with other similar-sized containers, such as recycling bins, by adjusting the brackets.  It measures approximately 17" x 21" with a standard 1/4" screen (like all our Soil Sifters). Since the photo at the right was taken, we have changed the design to use 1x3's placed upright so that it can hold more soil (not as pictured). The cost is $24.95, plus shipping and handling.

Our third new product since last year is the Soil Sifter Smart Screen, which fits on top of a smaller plastic garden cart like the Smart Cart shown here at left. It measures approximately 27" x 22-3/4" with the back side open to accommodate the raised design of the cart handles.  The cost is $34.95, plus shipping and handling.

Of course, we still offer our original Soil Sifter, which fits on top of a traditional wheelbarrow, as well as the Soil Sifter II and Soil Sifter II Mini, more economical models which are a little easier to empty because they are more flexible. And we are still offering the 18"x18" Soil Sifter Mini and Soil Sifter Mini "B" which have been very popular for both gardening and non-gardening uses.

Please bookmark our site and visit soon to see if we have something that can help you with your home gardening, treasure hunting, archeological digs, or whatever! Be sure to write if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for new products we can make.

Thanks for listening, and don't worry, you haven't been added to another mailing list!
